Garrett Uhlman, LSW

Garrett Uhlman is a full-time therapist who offers individual, couples, and family counseling, as well as tutoring services. Garrett specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which he provides to clients of all ages and backgrounds. He is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children under 18.
Garrett attended Indiana University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. He spent 13 years teaching and serving as an administrator at a high school on the eastside of Indianapolis before returning to Lawrenceburg to start a small business with his wife. He later earned his Master of Social Work degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, specializing in mental health counseling.
Garrett is passionate about helping individuals and families address trauma and mental health concerns through a strengths-based approach that empowers clients to build on their resilience and achieve personal growth. He is deeply committed to supporting the community he grew up in and enjoys collaborating with his team at Bridges to make the community stronger.
Outside of work, Garrett enjoys coaching soccer and has coached at the high school level for 16 years. He also loves hiking, visiting national parks, drawing, reading, playing games, and spending time with friends.
